Important Message: Seesaw App

Dear Families and Carers,

We are writing to advise you that we have been informed of a technical issue with Seesaw – the platform we use to engage with families. This issue has meant that there have been some errors with connecting families to their child. As a precautionary measure, to support the maintenance of student privacy, a decision has been made to disconnect all families from Seesaw whilst work is being undertaken to resolve the issue. Student privacy is a priority which is why we are being cautious in relation to this issue.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We will update you once we are advised that families can access Seesaw again and provide you with support in reconnecting if needed. Thank you for your understanding.

 Kind regards

Jane King

Welcome to Term 1 2025

Dear Parents and Carers

On behalf of the staff at Punchbowl Primary School, I would like to welcome you to 2025!

I hope the year has started well and that your children are continuing to enjoy their holiday break.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, our staff are spending valuable time getting to know our new staff members, completing mandatory training, participating in professional learning, planning in their grade teams and ensuring that our learning areas are ready for our students when they arrive on Thursday. We are very excited about starting our new school year.

Our school site has been extremely busy over the past 4 weeks as we have welcomed new students, supervised contractors, coordinated uniforms, stationery and book supplies, confirmed our budgets for 2025, organised the resources in our new library space and prepared our facilities and grounds for the beginning of the year.

Our special thanks are extended to Mrs Natassha Jamieson, Mrs Mary Faulkner, Mrs Allison Hodgetts and our Educational Facility Attendants for all their hard work during this time.

I would also like to announce that, Mrs Zoe Marshall has recently been appointed as our new Advanced Skills Teacher and Instructional Specialist. Mrs Marshall is a very experienced educator who has worked in a number of different schools in Launceston. We look forward to learning from her extensive curriculum experience and knowledge.

On Thursday February 6, when our students commence their first day, we have great pleasure in inviting our parents and carers to join us for complimentary coffee, being hosted by our School Association.  This is a terrific initiative and a wonderful opportunity for our new and current families to meet together.

This will be held near our Music Room- please look for the signage.

Finally, our first official school newsletter will be distributed on Thursday of Week 2. This year, you will receive our newsletter every fortnight (even weeks).

We look forward to seeing you at our PPSA coffee catch up on Day 1!

Warm regards

Jane King
